Terms of use
These terms apply when you download or use the I Need a Break app. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What the app does
I Need a Break helps you limit your own use of the apps you choose: a daily allowance of 10 minutes, breaks you take with Break now or schedule ahead, and more time that you earn with push-ups and squats, steps, focus, reading or breathing. It also makes a weekly Time Receipt.
Who may use it
The app is for people 18 and over. You use it for yourself, on your own phone, and you choose the apps it limits.
Permissions
Blocking needs Usage access and Display over other apps on Android, and Screen Time access on iPhone. Without them the app cannot close anything. You can switch them off at any time in the phone's settings.
Your body
Exercise at your own pace and stop any exercise that hurts. The app counts repetitions with the camera and is not medical advice or a fitness programme. Earning is capped every day on purpose.
Subscription
The app is free to start. To keep the 10-minute rule running you need a plan: weekly, monthly or yearly, each with a 7-day free trial if your store account is eligible. Prices are shown in the app and by the store before you confirm.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when the trial ends. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel in your account settings in the App Store or Google Play. Refunds follow the store's rules.
Without a plan, nothing stays blocked.
No guarantees
Blocking on Android checks the screen about once a second and the phone may stop it to save battery. Blocking on iPhone depends on Apple's Screen Time. We try to make the app reliable but cannot promise it will block every time, without interruption or error. You can always turn blocking off in the phone's settings or delete the app.
Your data
What the app does with information is in the privacy policy.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the app, and its total liability is limited to what you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law, including consumer rights where you live.
Changes and ending
We may update the app and these terms; the new version is published here with a new date. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it and cancelling your subscription in the store.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Israel, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection of the country where you live.
