Terms of use

These terms apply when you download or use the Muteloop app. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Who provides the app

The app is provided by the developer named in the details at the top of this page ("we"). You can reach us at the email address given there.

Using the app

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, under these terms and the rules of the store you got it from. The app is for people aged 18 and over.

Use the app lawfully. Do not copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows it. Muteloop is an independent app and is not affiliated with any messaging service.

Free start

The first digest of one group is free. After that, a subscription is needed to keep using the app, including more groups and digests, dates in the calendar, checklists and payment reminders, the Sunday catch-up and the share card, and live mode on Android. Exporting your data, deleting it, restoring a purchase, these terms and the privacy policy stay available with or without a subscription.

Subscriptions

• The plans, periods and prices are the ones shown on the app's plan screen and in the store before you confirm.
• Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period (week, month or year) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. After cancelling, the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
• A free trial, when offered, is 7 days and once per person, and is offered only when the store says your account can still use it. If you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, you are not charged.
• The family plan is for 2 adults.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules; we cannot issue store refunds ourselves.

Chats and other people's information

The chats you import contain other people's names, numbers and messages. Import only chats that you are part of and that you may use this way, and respect the privacy of the people in them and the rules of the group. You are responsible for what you do with a digest, including what you share.

In live mode, the app reads notifications only after you agree to the explanation and turn on Android's notification access, and only for the groups you choose. Turn it off at any time.

Digests may be wrong

Digests are made automatically by rules that read the messages, and they can miss a message, misread a date, an amount or a name, or put something in the wrong place. Every line links to the message it came from; check it before you rely on it. Do not rely on the app alone for payments, deadlines, safety, health or legal matters.

Uses that are not allowed

The app is not for monitoring people without their knowledge, for harassment, for anything unlawful, misleading or harmful, or for processing chats you have no right to use.

Your data

Your data is yours. It is stored on your phone, not with us, so we cannot recover it if the phone is lost, reset or the app is deleted. Export a copy of your dates and lists if you want a safety net.

No warranty

We work to keep the app reliable, but it is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. Reminders and live-mode alerts depend on your phone's settings and the messaging app, and may arrive late or not at all. This does not take away rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.

Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as a missed event, a missed payment, lost data or business interruption, arising from use of the app. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

If you got the app from the App Store

• These terms are between you and us only, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content.
• Your licence is limited to using the app on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
• We, not Apple, are responsible for any maintenance and support of the app. Apple has no obligation to provide them.
• If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding the app.
• We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
• If a third party claims that the app or your possession or use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
• You confirm that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Questions, complaints or claims about the app go to us, at the contact details at the top of this page.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

Ending

You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it; cancel any subscription in your store settings as well. We may stop offering the app; if we do, we will tell you in the app and you can still export your data.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version will have a new date and the app will show it. Changes do not affect a period you have already paid for.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Israel. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
