Terms of use

These terms apply when you use the Clothespun app. By using it you agree to them.

What the app is

Clothespun is a word game. Letters are printed on laundry on washing lines. You unclip pegs, the letters drop, and you fill the words on your list. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on your own devices.

What is free

The first three lines and the Daily Line are free for everyone. The other lines, in English, in Hebrew and in Twin mode, need a subscription. The Daily Line stays free for subscribers and non-subscribers alike.

Subscriptions and the free trial

The plans are weekly, monthly and yearly, shown with their price on the plan screen. The US prices are $1.99 a week, $4.99 a month and $29.99 a year; in other countries the price shown on the plan screen applies.

A free trial of 7 days is offered once per person, when the store says you are eligible. Nothing is charged during the trial. When it ends, the price shown is charged to your App Store or Google Play account.

The subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel it. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own rules.

You can restore a purchase on a new phone with Restore on the plan screen or in Settings.

No ads, and levels you can finish

There are no ads in the app. Every level is checked to be solvable without help, and there are no locked words. Losing a line never costs you anything, and your streak only counts, it never takes anything away.

Using the app

Use the app for fun and for yourself. Do not copy, sell or reverse-engineer it, and do not use it to harm others. When you share a Daily Line card or a challenge link, you are the one sharing it.

Our content

The game, the art, the levels and the word lists belong to the developer or are used under open licences. Word lists are chosen to be everyday, family-friendly words, but we are human: if you see a word that should not be there, tell us at the email address at the top of this page.

Apple and Google

If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's standard licensed application end user licence agreement also applies between you and Apple. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its support.

No guarantees

The app is provided as it is. We work to keep it working, but we cannot promise it will always run without interruption or errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or incidental losses from using the app. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that cannot be waived.
